LOTS OF SHARKS!

Takat Toko, also known as Castle Rock, is the place in the Komodo International Park to see sharks. With a bit of a current, they patrol the edge of the reef, sometimes getting really close to the divers. We had around 20 fully grown Whitetips working the hood together with a few, much bigger, Grey Reefs.
Apart from the sharks, having a boatload of photographers, we were busy finding all kinds of rare things, like Rhinopias, a Frogfish the size of a lentil (!), Bobbit Worms, Pygmy Seahorses, Coconut Octopi, Cockatoo Waspfish, Coleman Shrimps, Zebra Crabs, rare Nudibranchs and Mushrom Coral Pipefish, just to mention a few.
Yet another time, we managed to locate the elusive Wonderpus, at a divesite off Sumbawa Island. Normally very shy, and prone to disappear down its hole in the sand (much to the frustration of the divers), this time Mr W. Decided to put on a show!
We spent a good 30 minutes with this amazing animal, watching it doing all the stunts (pretending to be a featherstar for example…), before it finally called it a day and did indeed disappear down its hole…
Mantas are always special to see, and, naturally, having them in crystal clear water makes the experience even better! We had the pleasure to dive with these majestic rays on three occasions this trip. All in blue water!
